Lake of Bays is quieter in winter, when the villages settle and the snow on the shoreline roads is the main attraction. This weekend uses Baysville, Dorset and Dwight as three stops, with the option of a day in Algonquin if conditions allow.
- Day 1 — BaysvilleBrowse Baysville and enjoy lake views from open public areas. Stay away from dam edges and untested lake ice. Book accommodation and dinner ahead, as winter services can be limited.
- Day 2 — Dorset and DwightVisit Dorset and Dwight by road, allowing extra time for winter driving. Check local shop hours. For a winter trail outing, choose an officially open route and consult the operator’s current conditions; do not assume the lookout tower is open.
