Bala Bay
The southern outlet of Lake Muskoka, where the water spills into the Moon River at Bala.
Bala sits where Lake Muskoka drains west through Bala Falls into the Moon River. The village is the centre of Muskoka's cranberry country, with the Johnston family's marsh and winery just outside town and a cranberry festival in autumn. It is a pleasant stop for lunch and a waterside stroll on the way between Gravenhurst and Port Carling.
