Arrowhead Provincial Park
Stubbs Falls, the Big Bend lookout and a forest skating trail, ten minutes north of Huntsville.
Arrowhead sits just north of Huntsville off Highway 11, where the Big East River loops through mixed forest. The short trail to Stubbs Falls and the Big Bend lookout over the river's oxbow are the classic warm-weather walks, and Arrowhead Lake has a beach and canoe rentals in summer. In winter the park is known for its skating trail through the woods, along with groomed cross-country ski and snowshoe trails. Skating and ski conditions depend on the weather; check Ontario Parks for current conditions, daily vehicle permits and reservations before you go.
