Where to Stay in Honey Harbour, Muskoka

2 places to stay in Honey Harbour, grouped by type, with booking options from our partners.

Honey Harbour is a small community on the southern edge of Georgian Bay and the main gateway to Georgian Bay Islands National Park. Beausoleil Island, the park’s largest island, is reached by boat, and day visitors usually arrange transport from the harbour before they arrive.

This is not a town in the usual sense. There is a marina, a handful of places to eat and a store, and the shoreline is granite and pine rather than sand. What it offers is water access: sheltered channels and coves for paddling on calm days, and the open bay beyond them.

Accommodation is limited to a resort, a few cottage properties and rentals, most of it close to the water, and much of what makes the area special is offshore. If you are travelling without a boat, check with your host about water taxi and tour options before booking. Port Severn and the last lock of the Trent-Severn Waterway are a short drive east, Midland and Penetanguishene are south for supplies, and Bracebridge is roughly an hour away if you want to combine Georgian Bay with the lakes.
