Baysville
A small village at the southern tip of Lake of Bays, with a dam, a riverside park and a brewery on the main street.
Baysville sits where the South Muskoka River leaves Lake of Bays, and the village has built its quiet character around the water. The dam and its little falls are a short walk from the main street, the park beside them has picnic tables and a dock, and the surrounding roads are some of the prettiest in the region in autumn. It is a good half-day stop between Bracebridge and Dorset, and a gentle base for the lake's south shore.
