Where to Stay in Dwight, Muskoka

3 places to stay in Dwight, grouped by type, with booking options from our partners.

Dwight sits on the north shore of Lake of Bays along Highway 60, about twenty minutes east of Huntsville and the closest Muskoka village to Algonquin Park’s West Gate. For a trip built around the park, it is the shortest drive from a bed to a trailhead.

The village is small, strung along the highway with a handful of shops and places to eat, and the surrounding shoreline is where most of the accommodation sits: cottage resorts, lodges and a few lakeside properties with their own frontage. Arrowhead Provincial Park, with Stubbs Falls in summer and its forest skating trail in winter, is close by, and the Dorset Lookout Tower is a short drive east along the lake. Lake of Bays is a large, many-armed lake, so sheltered paddling is possible on calm mornings even when the main body is choppy.

Services are limited, so plan on driving to Huntsville for groceries, a wider choice of restaurants and anything you forget. Spring and autumn are quiet, summer is the family season, and winter is for the parks and the snow. Confirm opening dates and access with each property before booking outside summer.
